Biography
Dr. Stuart Peacock holds the Leslie Diamond Chair in Cancer Survivorship at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada. He is Co-Director of the Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control (ARCC) – Canada’s national research centre that focuses on health economics and cancer - and Head of the Department of Cancer Control Research at BC Cancer – the agency responsible for cancer care for almost 5 million British Columbians. Stuart is an internationally renowned expert in the economics of cancer control and quality of life for those impacted by cancer. His main research interests include developing more effective cancer services, making health system funding decisions fairer and more transparent, and improving the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors. He sits of the Board of the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technology in Health and is currently leading several national initiatives on deliberative public engagement in decisions about funding cancer drugs.
